A funny thing happened on the way to making jello

Most gelatin products you’ll find in the grocery stores not only use poor quality gelatin but are filled with added sugar, artificial sweeteners, food dyes and other chemicals.

On the other hand, quality well-sourced gelatin is packed with an amazing protein source that can benefit not just your immunity but your skin, hair, nails, bones, and digestive system.

Found another recipe that I adapted which called for fresh lemon juice and frozen berries.

Not only that, the lemon juice added an extra immune booster (vitamin C) in addition to some raw honey. They were so good.

Lemon Raspberry Jello

Ingredients ¾ cup Lemon Juice 1 cup Blueberries or Raspberries, fresh or frozen 4 tbsp Raw Honey 4 tbsp Gelatin (Vital Protiens Brand)

Steps

1 Blend together lemon juice and frozen fruit. 2 Pour into a saucepan and begin heating.

Steps

3 Add the honey and gelatin and stir constantly with a whisk, letting the mixture simmer (not boil) until it thins out (about 5-6 minutes). 4 Remove from pan and pour into silicon molds. Place in fridge for about 2 hours to harden.
