100+ pound weight loss case study
We are SO proud of our client Vanita, who reached her initial goal and is still going strong! Here is a snapshot of her powerful journey.
When Vanita first came to us she was about to turn 50, and very concerned about her health.
In addition to having a significant amount of weight to lose (over 100 pounds), she was on three medications for high blood pressure and had nagging knee pain. She was really looking to avoid weight loss medications or surgery.
Most of her adult life was focused on trying to lose weight with various diets. Though she would have some success, it was always temporary and she would inevitably gain the weight back as she struggled to make any permanent changes.
Vanita’s challenges included emotional and stress eating, as well as eating too much take out and restaurant food mainly because she did not enjoy cooking or feel confident in the kitchen.
Vanita also felt very much in sync with her husband. So if he was eating healthier, she would too; but if he wasn’t, she would follow suit. And once she was off track, she found it very hard to get back on.
Before reaching out to us, Vanita had been through a frustrating period where she lost some weight, only to face another period where she lost her momentum and gained the weight back, PLUS another 20-30 pounds.
A year later, after joining and living the Simply Nourished “way of life,” Vanita has reached and surpassed her initial goal of losing over 100 pounds. She feels fantastic and was able to completely eliminate one of her blood pressure medications.
