7 Things Women Over 50 Should Stop Doing

Today we are going to be addressing 7 habits, activities and thoughts we believe women over 50 should QUIT. For the full picture, view the video below!



In general, we suggest you stop…


  • Taking too much calcium 
    • Excess calcium builds up in arteries
    • Ideal goal is 1200mg TOTAL
    • Must have other bone supporting nutrients and lots of plant foods, magnesium and vitamin D and K
  • Staying up late
    • Sleep is so important and so many women we see don’t get enough
    • Stop doing “just one more thing” at night…no more binge watching after a certain time!
    • Change your routine
  • Dieting
    • Yep, unless you want to be on and off diets for the rest of your life, stop getting on that treadmill
    • By dieting, you miss out on nutrients
    • Eating healthy can easily become a part of your life. For the lifestyle part, you need to figure out how to incorporate it into your own life in a way that doesn’t make you feel deprived
  • Thinking you’re too old to . . . 
    • Change your habits or learn new things. Just not true.

    • Digestion and absorption of nutrients is crucial to our health and longevity
    • So often we are rushing and don’t take time to concentrate on our food and the eating process
  • Catering to everyone else and neglecting yourself
    • Stop this! This is the time in life for us to put ourselves first! 


  • Saying you don’t have enough time to cook, exercise, etc
    • We have a lot to say about this!
    • First off, stop saying this cause it only reinforces your brain that it is true
    • Look at how much time you spend online, scrolling through facebook or videos (other than ours)
    • 2nd, look for shortcuts
      • Find quick easy recipes or meal ideas (another one of our superpowers)
